The website is available in five languages. An interactive timetable contains easy-to-use search functions and is linked to maps of the network and the city. Up to date changes can be implemented. It provides the residents of Munich and visitors with a special service, as a trip to the city can be planned before leaving home.
In order to make the website accessible at all times, the website is managed with a load balancing solution. The load balancer runs on both standard Linux servers during peak times at midday and late afternoon. Although the website is one of the most frequently accessed in Munich, the two standard servers can cope with the demand. The solution with web4biz is thereby especially cost effective.
